For years I've gazed
Into the skies
From the imprisoning ground
My feet stood upon
Looking from the shadows
Of the White Halls
Gazing at those
Like birds, gliding
In flight above
Wishing I had wings
Within the Tower
Stands the aerian angel
His white wings blending
With the clouds in which
He disappears into
I'd never take my eyes off them
Until he re-emerged
Within strong arms
I was lifted up
Feeling my hair tangle
In the propelled wind
I soar with borrowed wings
Into those clouds
My heart bursting with wonder
Of the world's view at such heights
Many nights after, and throughout my days
Would I dream of flight
Yet
